Credit first: Outrank got something right early
Outrank.so's "Article Improvements" — automatically refreshing published articles that underperform in Search Console — was among the first real closed-loop features in this category, and public reviews consistently rate it among the product's best ideas. It deserved the praise: most tools stop measuring at publish, and Outrank didn't.

Pricing: the number versus finding the number
Outrank's reported pricing is about $99/month for ~30 articles, scaling to roughly $199 for 90. The recurring public complaint isn't the number — it's locating it: pricing has historically been hard to find without entering the app, and piecing together what you'd actually pay takes effort.
SEOtopilot's price is £50/month flat, on a public page, matching the checkout, matching the invoice — the whole model in one paragraph at pricing explained. We think a price you have to hunt for is a small dark pattern with good manners.
The verification gap
Like most tools in the category, Outrank generates fluent, citation-decorated content — and like most, it doesn't market a mandatory claim-level verification layer. SEOtopilot's fact-check pass is the product's spine: every claim checked against a live source, unverifiable ones flagged in the margin, and the whole thing impossible to switch off. The difference shows up precisely on the articles where you'd never think to check manually.
Cancellation
Public reviews of Outrank have described difficulty cancelling — including accounts of no working cancel button in-app at times. Whatever the current state of their flow, our position is structural: cancellation is one click in the billing portal, publicly committed, and any future version of us that breaks that promise has this page as evidence.
Where Outrank may fit you better
- Per-article price at maximum volume. At their reported $199-for-90 tier they land around £1.75 per unverified article; our volume pricing bottoms out at £2.50 per fact-checked one. If sheer draft volume is the whole game, they're cheaper; if the articles have to be true, the comparison inverts.
- Their backlink exchange. They operate one; we chose not to, for the policy-risk reasons in AI content and Google policy. If that network is what you want, they have it.
- Maturity. Outrank has more shipped history. We're the newer product making a sharper trust argument — that's the honest shape of it.
